Document Imaging Specialist • East Tawas

BASIC PURPOSE: 
 
The Document Imaging Specialist is responsible for document preparation, scanning and indexing of paper (and other form) documents to accurately file in electronic records according to defined identification parameters. Other role responsibilities relate to verification, research and maintenance, problem solving and reporting.  
 
PRINCIPAL ACOUNTABILITIES: 
Use acquired knowledge and skills, to assemble, prepare, sort, scan and index complex documents being converted to electronic/digital format. 
Scan, index and verify large volumes of existing client file information containing diverse collections of documents � Box and store existing hard copy files. 
Scan, index and verify new incoming documents on a daily basis. 
Verify that all documents scan complete with acceptable resolution quality and adhere to prescribed benchmarks. Re-scan as necessary. 
Monitor and prepare documents for transfer, retention or destruction based on defined policies and procedures. 
Work with management to ensure the proper maintenance of folders containing imaged documents. 
Create, Monitor, maintain and distribute system reports as directed. 
Use initiative to identify and research common issues and suggest suitable solutions to resolve in a timely manner. 
Suggest methods to enhance quality, increase efficiency and expand customer service. Endeavor to optimize all system functionality. 
Work directly with those who maintain scanning equipment to ensure effective operations. 
Assist other departments/divisions in the scanning process and the utilization of scanning equipment. 
Perform other general clerical and filing duties as assigned. 
May function in a backup capacity to other areas of the Loan Department as needed. Cross training for backup support is common and anticipated and can include extended training in other areas within the Loan Department that have not been included in this job description. 
Complies with security policies, internal controls and procedures. 
Performs all other duties and projects as assigned

Mortgage Loan Processor / Closer  
 
General Duties:  
 
Inputting information from application documents. Producing customer disclosures and information in compliance with internal and external documentation regulations and guidelines. Resolving exception items as they are recognized. Requesting additional information as needed. 
Ordering documentation to support key elements necessary to a mortgage transaction. 
Developing and maintaining a solid understanding of all applicable Freddie Mac policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance of loans sold on the secondary market and performing transactions relating to the sale of loans to Freddie Mac. 
Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of MortgageBot software. 
Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of Freddie Mac online systems utilized for automated underwriting and loan delivery. 
Preparing closing statements and all other applicable closing documents to ensure strict compliance with REG Z, RESPA, TIL, investor and internal guidelines. 
Coordinating closing schedules with borrowers, brokers and other third parties.  
Presenting closing documents to include borrowers, sellers and real estate professionals. 
Assuring accuracy and resolution of all title commitment requirements, tax pro-rations, payoffs and disbursements.  
Overseeing real estate construction financing and disbursement of funding draw schedules, collecting appropriate documentation to assure clear title. 
Adhering to all applicable internal operational and security procedures.  
Candidates must maintain a professional image and have excellent customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills. 
 
Candidates must exhibit the ability to maintain a high level of productivity while preserving high levels of quality. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a necessity. Candidates must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task. Previous mortgage lending related experience preferred.

General Duties will include but not limited to: 
Operate a teller window, processing a variety of transactions  
Maintain a working knowledge of all retail products and services in order to effectively sell and cross sell to current and prospective customers 
Balance, make adjusting entries and prepare various teller reports  
Balance ATM machine  
Adherence to all applicable internal operational and security procedures 
 
Ideal candidate will have: 
High school diploma or equivalent 
Prior banking or cash handling experience 
Ability to stand for long periods
